Authorization Specialist

The Insurance Authorization Specialist is responsible to verify benefits with insurance companies,  The position will provide the employee with the opportunity to develop key relationships with community partners, and develop expertise in managing the authorization aspect of health care delivery for our patients.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • 3-5 years in a fast-paced medical office environment

  • Must have a medical office background, ideally in the pre-authorization field.

  • Previous experience with medical prior authorization systems including but not limited to CovermyMeds, Health Connect, CuroRx,...etc.  

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a deadline driven environment

  • Excellent proficiency in computer data entry skills required.

  • Knowledge of patient registration, scheduling, authorizations, billing, and medical policies

  • Familiarity with ICD-10 and HCPC codes is preferable

  • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS, Workers Compensation, Managed Care, and Commercial insurance carriers billing regulations

  • Strong understanding of benefits investigating; deductibles, co-insurance, out of pocket expense & benefit exclusions

EEG technician

Part time/ Full time

Accreditation Board of ABRET requirements. The electroneurodiagostic technologist is required to perform neurodiagnostic studies on the brain, auditory system, visual system, somatosensory system, and other central and peripheral structures in all areas of the medical centers. This position is accountable and responsible for the performance of Neurodiagnostic procedures including but limited to EEGs, Long Term Monitoring of Epilepsy and ICU/cEEG monitoring, ambulatory EEGs, Evoked Potentials, and Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring. This position demonstrates anatomic and physiological data through proper electrode application, preparation of a technical history to aid the interpreting physician, selection of test protocol, and clinical observation of the test subject. The Neurodiagnostic technologist reviews electrographic recordings for identification, technique, and completeness according to the American Board of Electroencephalographic & Evoked Potential Technologists Laboratory Accreditation Standards (ABRET), and laboratory policy and procedure. Tech possesses knowledge and technique in data reformatting and data reduction and is responsible for analyses and extraction of pertinent data for physician interpretation and archive.

Neurodiagnostic technology certification or equivalent education and experience required.

Experience: 3 years of recent Neurodiagnostic testing experience preferred.

Certification(s): ABRET Registry in Electroencephalography or a registry in Neuro-diagnostics and/or neuro-physiology is required. ABRET Registry in Evoked Potential is desired. American Heart Association CPR certification for health care providers is required within 60 days of employment.

Computer / Typing: Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc

  • Work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm schedule.  Must have experience in Neurology.  Treat patients for a wide variety of Neurological Disorders: migraine headaches, epilepsy disorders and more.  Must have a Nevada license in hand or in process
